I know that these blogs haven't been very long but I'm new at this blogging thing.
My prayer is that this blog will help someone else in their own struggles with weight loss. And that God will use me to show others that He is an ever-present help.
I was faced with a huge temptation just the other night...red beans and rice with sausage. I had to work that day so I put them on in the slow cooker before I left that morning. When I got home, the smell hit me and I was so tired I almost gave in. I had to work the next morning, had an order for a card, and didn't feel like cooking my own supper. I had a plate in my hand and was fully aware of what I was doing, planning on "tricking myself" into thinking that this would be my lean and green for the day....lol The enemy had gotten to me! (Food like this is not allowed on with this program in this stage.)
But there's good news folks...I didn't do it! Instead I rebuked the enemy, put down the plate and made my dinner for the night. I opted for an omelet made with eggbeaters, Rotel tomatoes, mushrooms, and mixed greens. I sat down and put the things together for making the card, cooked my dinner and then ate. Granted, I was full 3/4 of the way through and still had to have one more Medifast meal for the day. I know that this program works when you follow the guidelines so I had to eat it all so that my body wouldn't be telling me that I'm hungry around midnight that night and I mess up anyway. So I took a break from the card and dinner and then finished it a bit later.
I'm excited for the upcoming Fall season which brings cooler weather. I plan on taking the boys to the park so my older son and I can walk and then we'll come back home and have school.
Thank you all for your continued prayers and support! I love you all!
Be blessed!
